Young-Adult Group

“The future of the country depends on the skill and the sincerity of the youth. Therefore, the necessary enthusiasm and encouragement must be generated among the youth. All my hopes are based on the students, the youth. They are very dear to me.” - Sri Sathya Sai Speaks Vol-IX.

In the mid 1990s, Sai Organizations across the world felt the need for a Youth Wing. Many teenagers were starting to graduate from the Bal Vikas program (now called Sai Spiritual Education or SSE), but had no formal continuing education in Sai spirituality. To introduce the young adults (18-35 years) within the Sai Organization to selfless service and to nurture the youth as future leaders, Swami blessed the creation of the Young Adult Wing.

To lay the foundation for the Young Adult Wing, Sri Sathya Sai Baba organized the First World Youth Conference in July 1997. Over 12,000 Young Adults from 67 countries attended the conference. The purpose of the conference was to inspire the youth to become more active and service oriented within the Sai Organization.
